🧘🏽 DAILY MEDITATION 🧘🏽
Most of us have had to live through the dark part of our lives, the time of failure, the nighttime of our lives, when we were full of struggle and care, worry and remorse when we felt deeply the tragedy of life.
But with our daily surrender to a Higher Power, comes peace and joy that makes all things new. We can now take each day as a joyous sunrise, a gift from God to use for Him and for others.
The night of the past is gone, the day is ours.
💤 Bite-Size Therapy: What Does My Relapse Dream Mean?
One minute you're laying down, comfortable in the bed waiting for sweet dreams...the next, you are using again. It's troubling, realistic, and causes anxiety, guilt, and shame.
It's a common problem...but why does it happen and what does it mean?

There are lots of reasons for relapse dreams. As you might have guessed, it could be because the substance is on your mind, consciously or subconsciously. One thing to remember though is that DOESN"T MEAN YOU WILL RELAPSE IN REAL LIFE!
In fact, a relapse dream could be a positive thing...it could mean that you are focused on your recovery, even while you are asleep. They could signify progress and success...but that doesn't make them any less alarming or distressing.
One thing to keep in mind is that triggers can be similar in dreams as they are in real life. The trigger could be a conversation, a feeling, or a memory...but identifying that trigger can help you prepare for it in your wakeful life so that your dream relapse remains a nightmare.
If you have a relapse dream, remember that it was just a dream and that you are still doing great in recovery! Then, try these tips:
Seek support
Meditate
Go to therapy
Adjust your sleep routine
Focus on the positive aspects of your recovery and the progress you've made
Write it about it using the journal prompt below!
