Meditation has been getting more and more popular in the western world. Along with several other eastern practices like acupuncture, cupping, and the use of herbs for healing.
Many people who are on a self-development journey try meditation at least once. But it's something most people overthink and have a hard time grasping. (I know from experience)

Let's just break down some of the benefits you'll experience from CONSISTENT meditation. And in Part 2 of this email I'll give you some tips on how to get started.
Overall it helps you gain control over being controlled by your thoughts. With that it helps you manage anxiety and reduces stress significantly. When we experience stress every single cell in our body is affected...
Therefore, when we are able to reduce stress every single cell in our body is affected. When the body is tense the mind is tense and vice versa. By clearing up those intrusive thoughts and gaining more control it frees up space allowing us to focus better.
Those two improvements alone are life changing but that isn't even the best part (in my opinion). I found its affects on decision making and an overall perspective change absolutely incredible. As you meditate more and more you will have to face a voice that tells you to stop and give up. A voice of self doubt that we all have.

When you overcome that voice in meditation it translates to every other aspect of your life. That voice is the same voice that tells you not to work out, to eat poorly, AND to drink. Your whole day will become a meditation of sorts and when you are stressed you will know just what to do.
While experiencing a intrusive depressive thought you are able to ignore it and change your mood. And by shifting your decisions in this way you learn to flow through your day far more efficiently. Opening up the room to enjoy life in a new and improved way.

I must rest my mind like I rest my body.
I must focus on nothing to make room to focus on something
I will breath life slowly into my lungs and spread it through my body.
I must be patient for the effects to manifest and take hold.
I expect nothing and will receive everything…
If I expect too much, I will receive too little
I am here, I am Present, and I am feel good.
Say it again. Repeat it.
Live It.
Love it.
