✒ Unexpected Meditations ✒

As you settle into your meditation practice, take a moment to reflect on the journey you've been on. You've come a long way since the early days of your recovery, and you have much to be grateful for.

Think back to those times when you struggled to stay on track, when you felt like giving up, and remember how far you've come. You've been through so much, and yet here you are, stronger and more resilient than ever before.

As you focus on gratitude, don't forget about forgiveness. Forgive yourself for any missteps you may have taken along the way. Remember, recovery is a journey, not a destination, and it's okay to stumble from time to time.

In fact, it's kind of like driving a car. At the beginning of your recovery journey, you might have felt like you were driving a beat-up old clunker. You were just chugging along, trying to make it to the next milestone.

But now, as you reflect on your progress, you realize that you've turned into a faster car. You've got some speed under your hood, and you're racing towards your goals with confidence and determination.

So take a moment to enjoy the ride. Breathe deeply and feel the wind in your hair (or on your scalp, if you're follicly challenged like me). Smile at the thought of how far you've come, and laugh at the memory of that old clunker you used to drive.

And as you continue down the road of recovery, always remember to be grateful for the progress you've made, and to forgive yourself for any mistakes you may make along the way. After all, you're driving a faster car now, and there's no stopping you!
