✒Cara Delevingne Gets Real About Her Addiction Battle: 'I Would Either End Up Dead or Doing Something Really, Really Stupid'✒

Have you ever heard of Cara Delevingne? She's a famous model who's been in lots of magazines and even some movies. But did you know that she recently opened up about her struggles with addiction? It's true!

Last year, some pictures and videos of Cara looking a little disheveled started to circulate online. People were worried that she might be struggling with addiction. But now, she's talking about how hitting rock bottom helped her turn her life around.

Cara said that she used to party a lot and that it felt like she was having fun. But eventually, she realized that she wasn't okay. She hadn't slept, she wasn't taking care of herself, and she looked really unhealthy. She knew that if she didn't make a change, something really bad could happen.

So she reached out to her friends and went to rehab. It wasn't easy, but she committed to getting better. She's been sober ever since!

Cara says that she struggled during the COVID-19 pandemic when work was on pause and she was feeling really alone. She started using drugs and alcohol to cope with her feelings. But now she's learned that there are better ways to deal with stress and sadness.

It's great that Cara is speaking out about her addiction and how she's overcoming it. It's important to remember that addiction is a serious issue, but with help and support, it's possible to get better.

Albion Divided Over Proposed Drug Rehab Facility: Community Concerns Clash with Nonprofit's Urgency to Save Lives

Let me tell you about some drama going on in Albion. So, there's this proposed drug rehab facility that's causing some trouble in the community. Gates to Recovery, a nonprofit in Rochester, wants to build a mental health-focused drug transition center in the area. But not everyone is excited about it.

Some people are worried about the traffic and noise, especially those who live nearby. They think it would be better if the facility was located in a more rural part of town. Plus, town officials are worried about losing tax revenue if the facility becomes a 501-C3.

But, some people are really supportive of the idea. Tiffany and her husband are both former addicts who have turned their lives around, and they want to help others do the same. Chris Crane’s son is currently in his fourth stint of rehab in Buffalo, so he knows how important these facilities are.

The president of Gates to Recovery, Randy Cimino, thinks that building somewhere else would take too much time and money. He wants to start helping people before the holidays. He just hopes that everyone can come together and give them a chance. Let's hope they can all work things out and help save some lives!

✒Religious Rehab Programs Dominate Addiction Treatment, Gov. Hochul Vetoes Bill for Secular Options!✒

Did you hear about Gov. Kathy Hochul of New York? Apparently, she vetoed a bill that would have required judges to let people in drug court know that they have the right to choose nonreligious rehab programs. Now, the governor didn't say that people can't get secular care, but she did say that the bill would be a pain in the neck for judges. But here's the thing, most addiction programs in America are religious! Yup, you heard me right, over 90% of residential treatment centers surveyed use the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous, which are based on Christian principles.

Now, don't get me wrong, the 12 steps can be really helpful for some people. But imagine being told that this is the only way to recover, when you don't believe in God. That's just not fair! People should have options when it comes to getting help for addiction. So, let's hope that in the future, lawmakers will make sure that everyone has access to the kind of care that works best for them, whether it's religious or not.
