We lived on this planet for thousands of years before modern medicine & technology were invented. Yet we still rely so heavily on it & would cease to exist without it.

Life expectancy has increased & people have been capable of living long lives for generations & it's all thanks to our beautiful planet.

The number one thing that keeps us alive is, of course, the sun. Without it, life would be nonexistent. We learned this in science class, yet we neglect to get outside & absorb its power consistently.

The best disinfectant is sunlight which kills bacteria & regulates our immune system. Our sleep/wake cycle also relies on it... it's not just roosters that are built to wake with the sun. This means you should get sunlight in your eyes early in the day so 14-16 hours later your brain knows to sleep. This boosts your sleep which is beneficial but it also releases serotonin in the brain, which makes you feel good.

Aside from the energy from above, we also evolved with our feet connected to the Earth which grounds us. We are electrical conductors & every cell in our body is held together with this energy.

We lived with bare feet on the ground for most of human existence. The earth also, oddly enough, has an electrical charge. Our rubber-soled shoes block the negative earth's charge which helps ground us. There's a ton of science behind this that I won't get into; instead, let's look at the benefits. The practice is called earthing & can help assist your sleep quality, plus it can reduce pain & inflammation.

It helps with stress & releases cortisol (stress hormone) in our bodies. The main benefit, however, is the relief of inflammation which is a significant cause of arthritis & many other modern-day illnesses.

Many inflammatory diseases can be significantly improved by planting your feet in the grass daily. So if you have pains, lack energy, or have trouble sleeping. Make sure to get in the sun each day. Plant your feet in the grass, & appreciate nature. Because even if none of this was scientifically backed (which it is). Nature alone can improve your overall health, & help you feel happier, & more at peace.

Thank you Mother Earth for nurturing with your health.

Thank you to the Sun for the warm feeling on my skin & the energy that invigorates me.

Thank you air as you seep deep into my lungs & push the blood through my veins.

As I breathe, I feel the cold air enter my nose & the hot air leave my mouth.

I’m grateful for the precious food I eat, the air I breath & the mere fact that I am alive & breathing.

It's a blessing to have been born & have the chance to live in this beautiful place.

I accept suffering is part of the process & without it, happiness would be meaningless.

Be Grateful for the little things around you & your entire life will change.
